History Timeline
A Finnish hospital accidentally sells a PC containing medical records of 3000 patients. The idea of a 100% secure data erasure tool for securely wiping hard disk drives is born.
The company’s first data erasure product is released – Blancco Data Cleaner.
Sun Microsystems and Blancco partner to deliver secure and flexible data erasure solutions.
Blancco is approved and included in the NATO Information Assurance Product Catalogue (NIAPC).
Blancco receives Common Criteria certification. Launch of Blancco 5 and Management Console 3.
