Blancco – Stealth Cleaner (BSC) closes that security gap. It is an innovative product designed to protect data on retired PCs during transit. It only takes 30 seconds to install and is therefore more feasible than complete onsite erasure.

BSC can be programmed to be activated on a particular date or after a certain number of boot ups. Erasure is automatically activated and within a matter of seconds it becomes exponentially impossible to recover any data and eventually all the data is completely destroyed. Some tools merely encrypt file indexes but Blancco – Stealth Cleaner destroys these along with all the other data.

In addition, the software can record activation parameters along hardware asset configuration. This data can then be forward to the recipient e.g., recycling or remarketing company, before the assets leave the customers’ premises.
