Your Data Disposal Checklist:

4 Ways to Transform Data Sanitization Process, Mitigate Risk and Protect Data

Thursday, January 27, 2022 | 1pm-2pm ET | Online

A New Outlook:
Elevate Your Data Protection, Reduce Vulnerability

Data can be an incredible asset to an organization, enabling services, steering strategic direction, and informing key business decisions. But it can also be a huge liability: it’s no secret that cybercriminals target organizations that store large amounts of consumer data—and businesses can be held liable for any data that is stolen.

As threat patterns evolve and become more sophisticated, your financial institution needs strategies that reduce your attack surface before a breach occurs. In addition to data security, there are industry audits and a labyrinth of regulations which must be adhered to.

Gain a fresh sense of clarity when you join The FIMA Community and Blancco on 1/27 as we draw on 20+ years of working with global financial institutions to explain data storage and compliance shortfalls that increase attack and liability vulnerability, then advise how you can avoid them.

We know seeing is believing, so as a bonus, we'll also dive into a global investment bank case study including real-life examples that will answer common data sanitization queries, such as: “How to stay compliant asset decommissioning with a remote workforce” and “what’s the best way to approach cloud migration and data sanitization in the cloud?”.

Hit The Refresh Button on Your Data Protection Strategy

Spend an hour with us, and discover how a household name in the banking industry transformed their data sanitization by focusing on these 4 areas:
    • Understanding laws, regulations, and standards—and how to prove compliance
    • Knowing when to dispose of data—for security and compliance across the entire data lifecycle
    • The most efficient methods to achieve compliant data erasure—remotely and within existing processes and IT management tools
    • The environmental impact—and how a solid data sanitization policy can support your ESG (environmental, social, and governance) goals

Before You Go, Consider This:

According to IBM’s latest report on the topic, the cost of a data breach is higher than it’s been in 17 years, yet businesses store far more data than they actually use. Some reports state that only 15-20% of business data stored is actually usable, yet a breach can expose historical and other data that can still render organizations subject to heavy fines and other liability costs.

Erasing data when it’s no longer needed is critical to reducing this vulnerability, reducing data access points, and reducing overall data storage and operational costs—join us to discover more about optimizing your data protection before the new year rolls in.
