Blancco respects the privacy rights of individuals and we are committed to protecting the personal information we may collect from the end users of the Software (“you” or “End User”). 1. What is Blancco Mobile Diagnostics?

Blancco Mobile Diagnostics enables mobile network operators/carriers, device manufacturers, retailers, device processors, repair depots, customer service centres, insurers and resellers (collectively “Support Organisations”) to quickly and accurately find the source of device issues and resolve them for you. Blancco Mobile Diagnostics is available in 3 packages: Retail Solution, Depot Solution and Remote Support Solution. By identifying the cause of mobile device issues and optimizing device performance, Blancco Mobile Diagnostics helps to reduce the likelihood of device returns and repairs.

Our Retail Solution is a kiosk-powered device that helps Support Organisations’ retail customer service and support its staff to educate customers on how their mobile devices function and what steps they can take to speed up performance and/or solve recurring issues.

Our Depot Solution is conceived for warehouse operations of Support Organisations. Repair technicians of Support Organisations can easily diagnose up to four mobile devices to understand the quality of the device before moving the device into the next phase of the operational process.

Our Remote Support Solution helps Support Organisations to pinpoint the source of device issues remotely in the hands of the End User. Our easy-to-use diagnostics application will reduce the amount of time and costs spent to resolve device issues in comparison to manual testing.

2. What information do we collect?

Our Software may collect data to operate effectively and provide you the best experiences. The following is a non-exclusive list of information that may be captured while using the Software:

(a) Name, e-mail, phone number and operator name;
(b) Hardware, software and applications related data and test results of their functionality; and
(c) System information, including but not limited to settings, version, IMEI, device ID, serial number and IP address.

3. When does the Software collect information?

Our Software does not take access or control the End User’s smartphone. The Software requires activation PIN to work and cannot be used otherwise thus preventing unauthorized or uninformed access. Information is captured when the Software is activated and used to perform the diagnostics. In case of Remote Support Solution, the End Users are requested by the Support Organizations to download the Software from the stores. Once the End User downloads the Software, the support agent gives a PIN to the End User, which the End User enters in the Software to activate it.

4. How do we use your information?

We may use the information we collect from you in the following ways:

5. How do we protect your information?

The Software may store the information it collects on the secure clouds. Our cloud infrastructure is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make our product as safe as possible. Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive information is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

6. Third Party Disclosure.

The information that we may collect from the End User could be transferred or may be accessible by the Support Organization of the End User. Apart from the Support Organizations mentioned above, we do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties unless we provide you with advance notice and procure consent. This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our solutions, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep the information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the applicable law, enforce our policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable user information (anonymous information) may be used or provided to other parties for analytics or other uses.

We may need to transfer your information to other group companies or service providers in countries outside the EEA (European Economic Area) and as a result the information we collect from End Users may be stored and processed outside the EEA. This may happen if our servers, Support Organisation or suppliers are based outside the EEA. In those cases, we will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that the End User’s information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy, and we will remain bound by our obligations under the respective applicable law.  By downloading and/or using the Software, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing.

9. Your privacy rights.

You have the right to contact us if you would like us to correct, update, or delete your personal information in our records; and/or wish to report any misuse of your personal information. Should a data breach occur, we will notify the users. We also agree to the individual redress principle, which requires that individuals have a right to pursue legally enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law.
